Print Media

Good Morning Everyone!

Sorry that it's been so long since my last post - but it's nice out and I'm enjoying the summer! Anyway - I'd like to touch base on something near and dear to my heart: newspapers and magazines. They're taking a BIG hit in the economy and many are going bankrupt, being suspended and just plain getting the boot.

I don't know about you - but isn't there something really nice about opening the newspaper, smelling that smell, getting your hands all dirty on the days fresh news??? I personally love it and can't stand the thought of one day not being able to do it!

With everyone getting their news from the internet, newspapers are having a hard time keeping up with the latest news as most people already know about it already! That's were journalists have to play their major role - in getting the story that the online outlets don't already have. It's hard for me to see so many of these journalists giving up and not going into the depth that they could to save their papers... I know it's not all about them - but it plays a major role.

And with magazines! People just cannot afford to pay the $50 or more dollars per year to have a magazine delivered every month - it's clearly an easy way to save a few bucks by cutting back on the extras you don't really need - but just want...

I hope that print media will make a comeback and be able to survive this recession.... I really do. So - if you love it as much as I do - go out and buy some new issues and don't suspend your newspaper deliveries!!!

Cheers!
