Revlon DoubleTwist grade: "F" FAIL!!!!!!!!
It stayed on all day without falling down under my eyes and was easy to take off! I received compliments on my eyes all day and people had no idea that I was trying a new mascara!
Sounds too good to be true? YES INDEED!
Here's the problem: The packaging of this mascara is different from most. The brush and tube come separately, which is actually becoming more popular... Meaning that you can see the brush through the plastic and the mascara goop is in the tube w/a special closed top. When I first used the Revlon DoubleTwist mascara, I had to open up the tube and put the brush/wand in there for the first time to collect the mascara. Everything was great! BUT, when I went to use this mascara again, just two days later, I pulled the wand out and it was covered in gross GLOBS of black mascara - there was no way I was putting that to my eyelashes... I think they have a major problem with the suction/opening of the tube - it doesn't conform to the new brush they've created and it's really unfortunate because they've got a great idea that worked fabulously well the first time. I think that after the brush sits in the goop, it just adheres to it and the opening is not small enough to pull the excess off. When I say globs, I mean GLOBS!!! And no amount of effort to remove those globs worked...they weren't going anywhere!
Overall, I am extremely dissapointed with this because I was so excited in the beginning. A major let down. Maybe if they created the tube opening to match up with the ups and downs of the brush, this idea could, potentially, work - but for now - it's a good idea gone wrong.
On to Maybeline Colossal Lashes - the one in the bright yellow tube....
